Just a Little Reminder
We have changed the utility bill due dates.
The bills will now be due from the 5th thru 15th of each month.
After the 15th a 10% penalty will be added to your bill if not paid.
All bills with penalty have to be paid by the 25th of the month.
Cut offs on all unpaid bills will be on the 26th of the month.
The drive thru window will only be open from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM the 5th thru 15th also.

It's a program designed to help defray emergency costs for those who are not economically self-sufficient. 100% of your donation will be used for the purpose of helping a family or individual in need.
The applicant applies for help with South Central Human Resource Agency.
Once an applicant qualifies, they will receive assistance from City of Hohenwald.
The City of Hohenwald has been participitating in this program since 2009 and has been successful in fulfilling a need in our community.

► Proof of income ( eight week's pay stubs)
► Utility bill account information from the City of Hohenwald
South Central Human Resource Agency will pay 67% of gas amount on bill only.
The remaining amount will be the customers responsibility.
The program is totally dependent on the generosity of citizens who donate to help fellow citizens in need.

Yes, Hohenwald does offer Animal Control.

It is $5 a day if your dog is picked up. That covers the food, water and boarding. You have two days to pick your dog up before it is set up for adoption. There is a $50 adoption fee that covers Rabies shot and spay/neuter.

City services are provided to residents through City Hall. Taxes are also paid via administrative services.
Building codes and business permits are available through City Hall's administrative office at 118 West Linden Ave.
Maps and business information are available through the local Hohenwald-Lewis County Chamber of Commerce at their office 106 N. Court St.
To obtain a library card, simply present valid ID with proof of local mailing address and fill out a short application.
