CDBG Survey Information Needed
The City of Hohenwald applies for grant money from the Community Development Block Grant program. We usually receive one grant every two years in the amount of $500,000.00, which is used to upgrade our infrastructure, such as water lines and sewer rehabilitation. The City depends on these grants to accomplish the infrastructure upgrades needed in our City. As part of this grant, we have to conduct surveys of citizens of Hohenwald. Over the next several days, including Saturday, city employees will be going from house to house inside the City limits conducting these surveys. The survey will consist of your name, address, household size, race, age, and annual household income. The household income is important because the grant is awarded based on the City of Hohenwald meeting certain criteria. Other than the household income, we will not ask for any personal information such as social security numbers or bank information. Our employees will either be in uniform or wearing a name tag from the City of Hohenwald. If you are not sure if the person is from the City of Hohenwald, please call the City at 931-796-2231 and verify the individual. Please help us by completing the survey (link at the top of the page) and email it to This email address is being protected from spambots.
